Great. By the way, why is such a huge dip in the subscribers? Is it temporary due to feedburner or something?

I wonder if the subscriber drop-off had anything to do with your promotion of the Blogger Bible sale. Subscribers can be a finicky bunch about sales.

But the proof is in the pudding, as my mom used to say. I’d take the increased income over a few lost subscribers any day.

@Keith, Click on projects at the top and look in there. Though to be honest I’ve not posted all that much about it.

@David, all traffic is driven from this site and if you look at the graph, you’ll see it’s now mostly search engine traffic.

@Greg, I thought that but no, I only had a handful of unsubscribes over the promotion. The most was 5 in one day.

@Mike, it will most likely go back to that level next month :)

Thanks for the stats again Caroline! Even if this great result is partly one off, it still feels pretty good to make 5k in a month, doesn’t it :)

Your traffic was steady, which is great (versus if it would go down instead). For the subscriber “dip”, I’m guessing it comes down to the most recent content on October, which was mostly related to the Bloggers Bible celebration launch, which made nice profit, but probably wasn’t so appealing to the new visitors.

Hi Caroline, first of all congratulations on the nice result. Even though it might be a one timer, it still looks nice. :)

As for the drop in the growth of the subscribers I’ll give you that it seems quite odd when you compare it to what has happened over the last year but on the other had we have seen more problems with the feedburner stats recently so I don’t think I would go as far as to conclude anything form it.

@Antti, hehe yes it does! If I could get that level of income every month, I’d have reached my target and I’d be supporting myself purely on business income :-)

@Oes, No I didn’t write that book, I wrote my own Twitter Guide a long time ago and when Twitter Rockstar came along I promoted it in my own guide.

Those are some good looking Analytics Stats. How do you have so much direct traffic? Is this just returning visitors typing in your URL or clicking a bookmark?

@Thomas, some of it will be bookmarks but also, any links clicked inside of a PDF count as direct traffic and there are a LOT of copies of my wordpress ebook out there.

I am also following Marlon Sanders blog, and I remember one thing he said was that the big difference in earnings does not come by constant growth, but by doing special promotions, where people get a special price or some extra bonuses or 2 products for 1 for a few days etc.
Seems like you proofed that right!
