I really like how much you treat your blog as a disciplined business – it is an obvious key as to why you have been and will continue to be so successful.

I talked about you and your success this morning at my master mind virtual meeting. All the members were impressed and couldn’t believe it.

I’ve been submitting my posts to stumbleupon since November and will now to back in time to start from the beginning of my blog.

So, we’ll keep writing good content.

The point is, in my last post I broke down the source traffic and found the trolls actually sent me some quality traffic, someof which subscribed.

I had a similar spike in RSS subscribers to the one you had, of course, on a much smaller scale.

The article title is “Use StumbleTrolls to Boost Your Stats”. My signature links to the article if you are interested in reading it.

What happens is that as soon as it is submitted it starts to get traffic and then you hope that you get thumbs up. If you do then that sends more traffic and the more thumbs up you get in a short space of time, the more traffic you get. At the end of the day to get lots of traffic you must write content that people will want to vote for – that’s it!

You continue to inspire me. I am working through the Thirty Day Challenge at my own pace and learning tons. I’m on day 10 and looking forward to creating my own niches over the next few weeks. Your blog is where I learned about the Thirty Day Challenge and I will always remember that — thanks again.

You got over 12,000 visitors from stumbleupon ALL organic?

What am I missing? Would it be possible for you to perhaps go over your techniques in a future post?

Right now, I pay for ads on stumbleupon with a small budget and I really don’t get ANYTHING close to that.

Have you written tips in the past that could help me understand this more?

@Gisele, Yes I am back hehe. I have not ever paid for a single penny in advertising – all my traffic is organic.

Caroline, you show over 12,000 visitors coming from StumbleUpon, is it possible to know if this organic traffic from StumbleUpon or did you pay for some ads.

I’ve been using StumbleUpon for a couple of months now and I do find they offer some serious results.

I subscribe to a dozen or so feeds – some related to my niche and the rest to IM blogs. So, I have Darren Rowse, Yaro Starak, Blog Herald, etc – the ones you might expect to see. Then there is Caroline Middlebrook, Skelliewag and Courtney Tuttle. The last three are the ones I go to first. In fact I haven’t checked the major blogs much recently. The content in those, although I am sure it is sage advice and the wisdom of experience, does not match what I perceive to be the ‘real’ world of blogging I get from my favourite sources.

My good wishes go out to you now and I hope you’re comforted in all the support that is coming your way. I’m not sure what will hit us all when you are back at 100% output!!

About the numbers, the RSS excited me the most. Do blog about the tactics u have used to get those RSS numbers so quickly!

I’m sorry to hear you are sick, as a matter of fact it is hardly noticeable if it wasn’t for you mentioning it. So this means you are still doing great regardless.
Don’t be too hard on yourself as from time to time things do go haywire.

It is what you make of it that matters and it looks like you have nothing to worry about.

about quality vs quantity, that’s so true! it’s amazing how easily bloggers (including myself) get carried away by the urge to post…i’m still trying to overcome it :)

btw i also get weird incoming searches – for example:

“+91 Dhaval @YAHOO.CO.IN OR @REDIFFMAIL.COM OR @GMAIL.COM OR @INDIANTIMES.COM OR @VSL.NET.IN”

my blog doesn’t even show up in the results – atleast not in the first few pages…so it might be some weird bug somewhere in feedburner :P

I am also following the $300 challenge, so we shall see what comes of this.
