Natalie Cook – a Star in the Making…

January 30, 2010 Posted under: Making Money Online by Caroline Middlebrook

Why have a blog if I can’t do something good with it? I have a friend, Natalie Cook (who we call Cookie) who is the most amazing singer but she hasn’t yet received the attention that she so rightly deserves. This year she entered for the X-Factor competition and didn’t get through. For anyone who watched the UK show and saw the abomination that was ‘Jedward’, I’m sure you’ll agree that the judges made a mistake!

Here she is singing an acoustic cover of Daniel Merriweather’s Red – not many people can truly sing with just a guitar for backing…

If you like her, pleas promote her a bit. Blog or tweet the video and also if you’re on Facebook, please join her Facebook page.

Cookie, I’m sure you have great things coming your way :-)

Has Cookie got any recordings of her own work Caroline rather than cover tracks? I personally would prefer to hear her sing her own stuff and at least would go visit youtube to listen and see her on there and vote too.

How about the “old-fashioned” method of attaining exposure to her work – demo tapes to local radio for starters?

Also, I would think there must be a number of fairly well known websites that help to spot talented individuals and help them to get that much needed break. I’m just sorry I don’t know which sites to target though.

Good fortune to Cookie!

Nice voice!

I think it is great that you promote her on your blog.

I suppose you have already told her to get started on her internet marketing?

I hope she finds the fame and success she is looking for.

Hey, I agree with you, why have a blog if you can’t post what you want and do something good. Good look to your friend and hope she will succeed!

Nice voice. She will surely be there someday, I’m sure about that. She just needs to keep working hard without ever worrying about failure. Success is going from failure to failure, without a loss of enthusiasm..guess who said it!

I thought she was great, to be honest. A real shame she did not go through, but with the internet as it is she has a great shot at self promotion and a potential career out of it.

Maybe we can turn her into a Youtube epidemic! Hehe

She is really good! I´m promoting this video on my own blog. Cookie sure deserves a recording deal with some label. Hope that happens in the near future.

She is talented. Nice, warm and very woman voice – the way I like it. She doesn’t seem to pretend anyone, she is natural and I admire that also.

She is really talented and I believe that X factor’s judges do not make right decisions always. I have seen this in last year auditions as well.
I am sure she will have a great come back and her voice will reach the audience.

Wow, how did she not make it?

She sounds as good as any of these singers on the radio. Maybe better. I will most def support!
