My New 24″ Monitor!
I have a twin-monitor setup on my main PC. Until today I was using a 20″ widescreen as my main display and a very old 15″ as my secondary one. The old one started to play up last week so thought about replacing it. I figured I’d just buy a cheap monitor to replace the second one.
However I was amazed to find that monitor prices have really come down since I last bought one. I think I got my 20″ about 3 or 4 years ago. So with prices so low I decided to make the 20″ the secondary display and buy a massive 24″ instead :-)
It’s really huge – quite amazing! I considered posting a photo but I don’t think you can really appreciate the size without being sat in front of it! I’ll also be interested to see how a game with good graphics, such as James Cameron’s Avatar will run on it… of course, I’m too busy working to play games but I will try and check it by the weekend.
Oh and random point… if you’ve not seen Avatar – go see it now! And pay the extra to see it in 3D, it truly is amazing. The story may be slightly cliche’d but it’s highly enjoyable and the visuals are simply jaw dropping. I’m seeing it for a second time tomorrow because it’s just that good!

Hi Caroline,
Can definitely see you being more productive.
Actually quite surprised you did not post a pic (as the whole article is about it) and I’m deciding on new monitor sizes so that would be useful.

Come on, we still want to see pictures of the setup! Sound pretty cool. Now if we could just move you from that PC to a Mac…. ;)
Hi Caroline, geee I miss staring into 2 monitors. I now do everything on a Mac and would never go back to using a PC with even 3 monitors.

Just using two monitors is good for productivity. and of course it’s great if at least one of them is 24″+
p.s. Avatar the movie = awesomesauce. Avatar the game = I’d spend my time on something else, like going to see the movie again or something :)

I’m planning on getting a 27″ imac soon. A decent screen is essential i think, mine is 15″ at the moment. Upload some pictures of your PC setup!
I use a 23″ and is a good one. Big LCD´s Monitors is good for productive.
@Michael, not gonna happen lol! I am a true PC girl, I *really* dislike Mac’s! I could be tempted by apple gadgets like the IPhone, but my computer is always going to be a PC :-)
Hi Caroline
Yes, it’s a joy with a BIG screen. I did run on two screen at my pc. Then my grafic-card broke. Then my pc… and now I’m running on my brothers old mac. And that on a screen bigger than 24″. That’s a joy… and maybe the mac are able to run two screens = a bigger joy :O)
I want to see your screen. Put a link to it…

Thomas
