February Income Boosted by Blog Mastermind

March 8, 2008 Posted under: Making Money Online by Caroline Middlebrook

In my February stats post I stated that I was unable to login to the Blog Mastermind affiliate panel as they are changing their technical back end at the moment so I was unsure whether my figure of $2003 was accurate or not. I’ve now had an email from Yaro telling me that in fact I earned $175 in affiliate commissions for Blog Mastermind which brings my final figure for February income up to $2178.

Incidentally, if you didn’t get on board with Blog Mastermind before December when it closed its doors, keep an eye out on this blog as Yaro has announced that it will be re-opening soon once the technical back end has been updated. He also plans to release a new version of his superb free report, the Blog Profits Blueprint so even if the coaching program is outside of your price range, be sure to read the new report.

I will of course let you know when it becomes available.

Hi, Caroline!

I discovered your blog for the first time tonight. Have to say I absolutely love it!

I am excited about Yaro opening up Blog Mastermind again, and about the affiliate program. I absolutely love the first blueprint and can’t wait to see what the next incarnation will be like.

At any rate, thank you so much for the awesome and insightful content!

@Bob, welcome aboard :) I’m quite excited about Yaro’s new work too - I really enjoyed his blog profits blueprint the first time around. It really helped me get started with this blog.

Congrats Caroline - I saw you were the 5th best affiliate for Yaro this month in his email he sent to affiliates. Unfortunately for me, I only earnt $35 this month - so am hoping to hit BlogMastermind big time when its re-released!

Well done again on some fantastic residual income!

Hopefully we can double or triple that amount when I reopen Blog Mastermind Caroline.

At the moment I’m working on a re-write of the sales page to make it shorter and hopefully not deter the people who hate the long sales page format.

Once that is done, I’m adding a chapter to the Blueprint on something I think all bloggers need to be doing but most do not.

After that - we open the doors again!

I hope to get this done before I leave for Fiji, Hawaii and Canada in April.

Caroline,

Great news on the Blogmastermind referral income.

I didn’t get chance to promote it that much when I began on it before christmas and I think I’m sort of around the same stage of you (although utilising it for other blogs at the mo).

Be good when the doors open on it and everyone can become better bloggers and make a little extra along the way ;-)

Caroline,
you have a lot of fabulous information on your blog. Thank you very much. I’m just curious though. It seems like the only people making money blogging are the people telling everyone how to make money blogging. Is that an accurate statement or am I missing something?

@Bob, you’re missing something :) It feels that way because the only people BLOGGING about making money blogging are those doing it in the making money blogging niche! Confused? Well, those guys who make money in dating, or mortgages, or pets or whatever probably don’t blog about how much money they make so you don’t see that. It presents a very skewed perspective and it makes newcomers feel that in order to make money they need to work in this niche which simply isn’t true.

Thanks, Caroline! So I gather I need to take what I’m learning on your website and apply it to another niche. The really tough part is finding a niche that no one is already pounding away at. So I guess it all comes down to long tail keyword research.

@Bob, don’t worry about competition too much, there’s always competition and its usually a sign of a healthy market. You might want to stay away from the crazy competitive markets like health supplements etc unless you have a major edge but otherwise just pick something you like and go with it.
