I agree with what you said about email marketing. It's like faking socializing with someone because you need something from them later on. lol

Hi Caroline,

It looks like you are doing a great job here at your blog/website.
I think Wordpress is a fantastic system and have used it for a number of websites. I have taken a different approach to ebook marketing, ie I am charging for my work - though at a low cost.

The reason is that I have spent a lot of time working on my approach (documented in the ebook) which gives me and anyone else a good way or framework to think about building a business online.

I've just started my new website so hope to hear from you

@Carol, where did you get the list of people to send the email to? If you have collected them yourself via a double opt-in list that is managed by a reputable service such as Aweber then you should be fine.

And no, I'm not for hire :)

Caroline,
I have a survey (questionaire) that I need to send to a lot of people in a specific niche. How do I do that without being accused of spamming. Is there a good e-mail Title I can use so I don't get deleted before they open the mail?
Am planning on using and recommending your book a lot for thses people!
Your book is very well done. Now could you do one on how to "tweak" (adjust, personalize) those things you don't like in the Wordpress Blogs???? ;-) Or are you for hire on a one to one basis???
Thanks,
Carolann

Hi Caroline,

You journey with marketing your free ebook is really helping me navigate through the Ebook/blogging/marketing maze. I found you through the BMM forums when commenting strategies were discussed (another great source for me) and ever since, I love coming here to get your insights. You explain the concepts clearly and with a great personality. Thank you for the great information. I plan on implementing many of your strategies to the ebook I've just created.

@Olakunle, yes I have heard of comment Kahuna and some other similar software such as comment hut. To be honest it's really not my cup of tea. I've written extensively about my blog commenting strategy and I much prefer to simply comment as and when I see fit whilst blog reading in general.

1. Ever heard of Comment Kahuna ?
2. That will simplify the entire bloggers search for you in few clicks.
3. Instead of days, do it in minutes.
4. If you ask, I might just show you the way to getting this amazing software before the owner changes his mind.
5. No need to ask if you like and love to do things the hard way. :-)
6. High regards,
7. Your Friend, --OSF.

Hi Caroline. It's certainly interesting reading about your experiences with your ebook. Thanks for sharing.

Have you seen Seth Godin's Squidoo lens on successful ebooks? I'm not convinced about Squidoo at all myself (why not just put it in a blog post?), but there's some good advice in there!

Hi Carolyn
Good Points, especially going against the conventional wisdom when running an email campaign. I work with local businesses who want to run effective web based campaigns. Most would not fit into the typical mold, so thinking "outside the box" is essential to a successful outcome, and by molding the campaign to their particular situation it greatly increases the probability of a positive outcome.

best

Hi Caroline!

Great post on your ebook, and this is a great Pull strategy to increase popularity and traffic.

I like the way you list your efforts step by step, specify the purpose of doing certain things, and how you are going to implement them.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that your previous blog post 24 Do-Follow Social Bookmarking That Actually Work has worked really well for me. I've written about it in my blog - 5 Steps to Get Top Search Engine Rankings.

I think you have a very helpful blog, so keep it up!

Cheers!

Probably just as good as you 'blog commenting strategy' one and it was fantastic.

Looking forward to hearing how it goes and what you learn.

Hi Caroline,

I like reading your posts!

Even though I am not interested in the book because I use Squarespace and Wordpress is way too complicated for me, I still benefited from your post.

It is always nice to read about somebody's marketing efforts and there is always something to learn.

I do believe that organization of ones marketing campaigns is very important and seems like you are very good at it.

I am very interested to read your Twitter guide as I haven't used Twitter yet, but you make me very eager to learn about it.

I also saved Mark's Top 100 list. Thanks for sharing it!
