I started this project on October 19th 2007. The aim is to release a simple software tool (to make article mashups for Bum Marketing) and use that as a way of learning about list building, tutorial videos and software distribution as a marketing method.
UPDATE: I’ve put this project on hold before it ever got off the ground! I have not finished developing the tool itself and I now have a new project (the Ebook project) which I am going to use to learn about list building, auto-responders and so on. I may come back to this project when I feel like I can spare the time to compete the tool.
ArticleMasher Project Plan
- Develop the tool
- Install Wordpress & Plugins
- Pick a clean looking theme and install it
- Create static pages - download, about, contact etc
- Find list building software (try phplist comes with my host)
- Figure out how to send subscribers to a private download page
- Write an autoresponder for the email list
- Write some basic documentation
- Make a tutorial video
- Learn about video marketing
- Learn about software marketing
