A Day For Hearts - Raising Awareness for Children with CHD
Let me introduce you to my friend Dr Mani… as well as being a full time doctor and an Internet entrepreneur, he also finds the time to run a non-profit organisation that allows him to perform surgeries on children with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD).
February 14th may be better known to us as Valentine’s day but for Dr Mani it is also a special day for another reason - it is A Day For Hearts, CHD Awareness Day. I’m going to let Dr Mani explain a bit about this in his own words. This is the email I got from him today:
On Valentine’s Day, will you help save a child’s life?
Think for a moment about a child you love.
Imagine how you’d feel if you knew that child had a
heart condition. Then think about how bad it would be if this child you
knew and cared about could not have it treated…
because the parents couldn’t afford the high cost. Then ask yourself if you would do something to help, to
make sure this won’t happen to another child somewhere
else.A child without access to medical attention, or with a
family that’s simply too poor to afford the cost of
lifesaving treatment.Whatever you might have thought, it doesn’t take a fortune
to get congenital heart defects treated. In fact heart
surgery can be done for as little as $3,000 in India. That’s why, on Valentine’s Day, ‘A DAY FOR HEARTS’, I’m
asking you if YOU will help save a child’s life. Now imagine the power you have.
If you and a few hundred more people like you help with
as much as you can, we will EASILY raise enough to help
fund one child’s operation - TODAY.And if you tell five more friends to do the same, the
impact will be greater. You will save a child’s life.
I’m writing this email to a little over 5,000 people
who are on my list.I’m asking you - and everyone else - to donate $10
(not more) - to the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation.
Here’s where to go:http://www.chdinfo.com/chdaware/howdonate.htm
Tomorrow, I will reveal how much we raised from this
list of 5,000 subscribers. I will not be posting
about this anywhere else, so the results will come
ENTIRELY from you - and your friends, family and
contacts whom you tell about this effort, on Feb.14thOn Valentine’s Day.
On a ‘Day for Hearts’.
Thank you for helping make a difference.
All success
Dr.Mani
Happy Valentine’s Day everybody, and especially to Dr Mani - I hope this post helps you reach your goals for today.
