$300 In 20 Days Challenge is Now LIVE

November 22, 2007 Posted under: Making Money Online by Caroline Middlebrook

Yesterday I talked about a new 20 day challenge that is opening up today which aims to take 20 newbies by the hand and get them to earn $300 in affiliate sales within the 20 day period.

The Challenge is Now Live!

A couple of people in yesterdays post mentioned that they couldn’t find a sign-up link. That’s because there wasn’t one! There is now as the challenge has just gone live.

Remember, the regular price for this is $49.95 but if you sign up through me, you get the special discount price of just $29.95. There are 100 spots available.

Click here to sign up for $29.95

Just a quick note, do make sure you click through the link above, don’t go directly to Codrut’s site and sign up there or you’ll pay the full $49.95 price tag and once you’ve enrolled you cannot cancel and re-enroll at the discounted price!

Why Am I Promoting This?

I’m going to be completely honest here - I have not seen the training materials so I am promoting this course in good faith. If it turns out to be a load of rubbish then I guess I’ll be looking at a bunch of refunds! I do receive a commission for any sign-ups via my link.

Codrut does offer a 60-day money-back guarantee with this course which is nice because it means that if we don’t have time to get through all the course materials and the work within the 20 days we’ve got two whole months to work on it.

I’m very much a person of instincts. I get a lot of email about certain products / courses / opportunities etc and I tend to get a vibe about it within seconds and I act on that vibe to a large extent. Some of you may think that’s crazy but what can I say? This course has given me good vibes, I like the look of it and I’m really hoping it’s going to be a winner because I could really use a solid income stream right now!

$300 in 20 Days - 60 day money-back guarantee - $29.95 exclusive offer - click here now.

Ah, *there* is the sign up link. :D

I’m not sure how much I’m going to learn from the course (the preview videos suggest I might already know some of the things that are going to be taught). I guess it’s always worth a try. :)

Hi Caroline,

I followed along the 30 day challenge and thoroughly enjoyed it. I made my first couple of sales during the month after the 30 DC which inspired me. I have since slowed down my writing and subsequently my traffic and sales has come to a stand still. This new 20 day challenge may inspire me to continue so I signed up with your link…thanks for the discount!

PS: Love the blog!

Lachlan.

Well, I’ve signed up too but was a bit disappointed to immediately be sent in the direction of a forum that requires a $20 per month subscription. That smacks of the sharp practice I really hate so I’m already feeling negative about it. I’m hoping the coaching programme will teach me something, and to be fair, it’s not that expensive, but this hasn’t started too well.

Heather thats a shame I was thinking of signing up but I HATE the undisclosed upsell that seems so common in the marketing world. He’s a thought lets admit what the cost is up front and then the customer could make an informed decision! Sorry to be negative but I just got burnt by the Google Assassin hype so I am becoming (even more) cynical!

I signed up and noticed the upsell too. Don’t worry, it is optional. I won’t be joining the $20 per month forum.

I think the 100 people limit is a bit of a sham too. Why would he restrict his own sales to 100. There is no physical product so it does not matter how many he sells. I’m pretty sure that he will be selling as many as possible and only said it was for 100 people to create a bit of urgency.

Any thoughts Caroline? Have you had more than 100 sign up from your affiliate link?

I don’t really care, I’m looking forward to the material. Good luck to all that signed up!

# Heather and # lissie

I understand your worry and the IM niche is crowded with garbage products…

Anyway, just imagine this -

While you complain, newbies are already thanking me for the opportunity I’ve gave them with releasing this program.

I guess you’re to sick & tired of the IM niche, but you really can’t put me in the same basket with other ‘Gurus’.

It’s logical you do that, but I wanted to let you know why my program is different than anything else.

Please… do NOT compare Google Assassin and all these so-called ‘Gurus’ with my program.

Mine it’s basic, theirs is not, period.

I’m out…

@Making Sales, hehe I know the feeling, I’m also in another course right now so I have a lot of things going on and it will be difficult to find the time for them all!

@Evan, it’s $30, not $300 :-) The $300 figure is what we’re hoping you’ll EARN in the course, not spend!!

@Heather, any upsells are of course optional.

@Lissie, again to re-iterate, the private club that Codrut is offering is a totally optional separate product, and there is absolutely no obligation to join. The only cost is the $29.95 that I mentioned here.

Also, as I understand it, the course itself is based around only free methods so no money is required.

@Jimmy, Um I really don’t know why it is limited to only 100 spots :-) I’ve had 11 sign up from my affiliate link so far.

I have to defent myself.

It’s so funny to hear all these comments from current buyers (my students), naysayers and newbies who are on the fence.

#Jimmy, if you carefully read my blog, you’ll notice that some posts ask your question - why just 100 people?

Because my time is limited, and I don’t have more than 24 hours in a day to answer all student’s questions, plus I have other projects as well.

The 30k Newbie Club is not just a forum or yet another forum, it’s a complete private club that I’ll fully launch after this challenge ends.

Its aim is to take newbies from $300 to the next level.

What’s bad in this objective

Hope this helps.

Hey Codrut,

Relax mate, it is natural for people to feel somewhat skeptical when investing time and money in programs like this. I have faith in your program and I’m really looking forward to the material you are going to provide. The only point I wanted to make was that I found it hard to believe that if 1000 people wanted to participate, you would turn down $50000. I only find this hard to believe because I know I could not turn it down!

Anyway, Codrut, I’m looking forward to learning from you and making my first $300!!!

Cheers.

Jimmy

Codrut

I’m sorry you found it necessary to become defensive. I was making an observation based on a lot of experience in sifting through so much garbage on the internet. I think I can safely say that until we have experienced your programme we cannot evaluate it as one thing or another, which is why I have stayed signed up. I don’t think anyone has said there is anything ‘bad’ in your objective - there has simply been some comment on upselling, a practice which many people find annoying.

I understand that joining this forum is not required for the coaching programme - I just think it might have been better to wait till the end to draw attention to it.

Caroline - I appreciated the opportunity to sign up for this at a reduced rate and don’t want to come across as a ‘naysayer’ - it was simply feedback.

Codrut: I read your sales page as having a typo with $30,000 not $30 as well - you may want to re-write it to clarify.
Carolyn: I don’t know whether this offering is good value or not the point is that the typical IM offer is
a) time bound - you must act TODAY or special for first X people
b) there is upsell - from a learning point of view to say entry to a forum is optional is silly - if you offering a learning site then the forum is essential part of the student experience - ask any teacher

So far you havent differentiated yourself from the typical because this offer has both of these “features”
Sorry

@Heather, no problem at all. I am a consumer of this course too.

@Lissie, I am an affiliate for this course, I have not been involved with its development or in the way it was presented. Personally I would not have elected to present an upsell of that kind until much further into the course when students were seeing results - but as I say, this is not my course, I am merely a reseller.

I am simply trying to make a living both from the course itself which I hope I can succeed at, and of course from the affiliate sales.

#Jimmy - it’s ok, I’m trying to relax and get rid of negative thinking and commenting.

They say that “you’re what you attract”, right?

Anyway… 1,000 is not that easy to get, you know?

And the way this coaching was created it’s impossible to have a high success rate with 1,000, I’m sure you’d agree here… remember the e-mail coaching feature.

#Heather , I was not talking particularly about you, I’ve received a ton of questions from people on other blogs, my own blog, forums, etc…

It’s normal people feel skeptical if the IM niche is flooded with crazy money-making offers (e.g. make thousands each week)

#lissie - where’s the typo?

100 newbies x $300 = $30.000. So there’s no typo.

I’ve talked with Caroline and from this blog’s comments it reflect that was best to present the upsell (monthly club and forum access) after the $300 in 20 days coaching program ends.

So, that’s what I did next… thx for the tip!

How did I miss this one?

I guess I was desperate to convert more people into buyers :(

I strive to consider each customer as my best friend, and that’s why I’ve said that the next logical step is to join the club (but only after you finish the first coaching program)…. anyway, I try to please everybody, even this is humanly impossible.

Cheers.

Hi, Caroline…

Not exactly sure how I came across your blog, but I’ve been reviewing some of the posts, thinking about joining the challenge, etc.

I appreciate your open, honest style of sharing with people. The best to you as you continue your efforts to reach your goals.

Enjoy the day,

Well, Caroline…

I made the plunge in terms of the challenge. I’ll look at the materials (along with a few others I see doing the same thing) and see if it’s something I want to continue with.

The 60 day guarantee kinda did it. At least I can look and see about taking some very definite action.

The best to you in all things,

Lee

@Lee, yeah when I first saw the challenge I was actually somewhat daunted as I know I don’t have a huge amount of time to work on it as I have other projects so I doubtd if I could do it in 20 days but the 60 day guarantee does take the pressure off somewhat. As I understand it, the training materials are being delivered over 20 days but of course we can take our time working through it.

Hi,

Quick question: is anyone else who is entered in the challenge having difficulty pulling up the links for training for days 1-3?

Thanks,

Hello Caroline

Please clarify something for me……you are suggesting there is an affiliate program associated with the 20 day Codrut T challenge, and that you are eligible for commission from promoting it?

Where and when was that offer made,,,,,,did I totally miss something……I joined the 30k in 20 days on day one,and I do not recall seeing any such offers?

Thanks

Caroline Middlebrook
December 4, 2007

@Leo, Codrut offered me a special arrangement where I could become an affiliate for him, offer the course at a reduced rate and make a commission (in return for promoting it on the blog). I don’t think this is an offer open to the general public but I don’t know whether there were any other affiliates or not.

I took Codrut’s course.

Let me just backup for a moment.
I have spent many thousands of dollars on all kinds
of ebooks, forums, webinars, e-courses, etc…

Name any internet guru, and I’ve probably bought
one (or more) of their programs.

Codrut’s course was one of the simplest and easiest
to follow. Laid out in a step-by-step, follow the numbers
type format. Nothing is left out and you don’t have to
buy anything else or spend any more money.

If you follow the system and do the assignments,
you will make money… period!

I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
